Some leaders of our ward (congregation of The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) wisely use it here in Roseville,
Michigan. As full-time missionaries, my
wife Kay and I recently started using it frequently to keep in touch with a few
family members, friends, and Detroit mission associates. Facebook is one of many ways we share the
gospel of Jesus Christ. Until last
month, it was more like a quick look
once every few weeks. Now every week
(except this week), I see at a glance what's happening in the ward, the Church
worldwide, our society, and the marketplace (too many ads turn me off). And not to be forgotten: extended family and
old friends – like what they think, share, and do.
For those who aren’t yet familiar with it (haha), I found
this: “Facebook is an American online social media and social networking
service company based in Menlo Park, California. Founded: February 2004, Cambridge, MA” – Wikipedia
Fourteen years later, we live in a different world. Can you comment on how many of the younger
generation have moved on to like other social media?
